Lakeside Fire Administration has New Office Hours

Lakeside, CA -

New Fire District Administration Office Hours
Start November 1, 2010

After studying the customer traffic patterns and assessing the needs of both our internal and external customers for Administrative and Fire Prevention Division Services provided at our Parkside Street location, we decided to adjust our business hours to better serve our community. The new Lakeside Fire Protection District Administration Building office hours will begin Monday, November 1, 2010.

Effective November 1, 2010 the Parkside Street Office Hours are:

Monday – Friday 0700 hrs (7:00 a.m.) through 1600 hrs (4:00 p.m.) daily.

  •         The new office hours include the 1200 hrs (12:00 p.m.) to 1300 hrs (1:00 p.m.) time period when we were previously closed for lunch.

  •       Citizens needing services after 1600 (4:00 p.m.) may also schedule an appointment with a staff member for services at a mutually convenient time (with supervisor approval).

  •        On days with scheduled monthly Fire Board meetings*, administration offices will open at 0700 (7:00 a.m.) and stay open until 1730 (5:30 p.m.) for District business. After 1730 (5:30 p.m.), District Administrative Staff will be assigned to Board Meeting activities only.
*The Lakeside Fire District Governing Board meets on the Second and Fourth Tuesdays of every month at 1730 hrs (5:30 p.m.) in the Board Chambers at the Parkside Street Location.  Please see the District website (www.lakesidefire.net) for agendas and other meeting details.

Lakeside Fire Administration, 12365 Parkside Street.

Building Plan Review Changes:

Citizens are also reminded that Building Plan Review services for both Residential and Commercial occupancies are now completed by District Personnel at the offices of the San Diego County Fire Authority (in conjunction with DPLU Building Division), NOT at the Fire District offices.  While this change has only been in place for a short time (started October 13th, 2010), it has already shown to be a valuable and time (money) saving venue change for both the District and citizens needing those specific services.

If you should have any questions about these changes please contact Chief Parr in his office at 619.390.2369 x312.
