A rollover vehicle accident with entrapment brought several Lakeside Fire units to Highway 67 in the early-morning hours of January 7, 2011. Under the command of Battalion 1 (Tockstein), firefighters from Lakeside's Riverview (fs1), Eucalyptus Hills (fs2), and Lake Jennings (fs3) fire stations utilized stabilization struts and hydraulic rescue tools to free the trapped driver from the upside-down vehicle. Lakeside firefighter/paramedics transported the driver to an area trauma center.
Units attending this incident included E1, E2, R3, M1, and B1. The CHP is investigating the accident.
