Lakeside, CA -
A traffic collision with entrapment brought a full rescue response from Lakeside firefighters on Saturday, May 21, 2011. The incident in the
9600 block of Los Coches Road required the attendance of Lakeside Engine 1, Engine 2, Rescue 3, Medic 3, and Battalion 1. Firefighter-paramedics provided immediate advanced life support care for the trapped driver while other crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to extricate her from the severely damaged vehicle. Once freed from her vehicle, the injured driver was transported by Lakeside firefighter-paramedics to an area trauma center. The accident is under investigation by the CHP.
