Lakeside, CA -
On Monday, May 28, 2012, firefighters from Lakeside Fire Station 2 (
River Park) participated in the Memorial
Day events at Lindo Lake
Park in Lakeside. The event was sponsored by Lakeside VFW
Post 5867. Along with engine 2 and medic 2, attendees were treated to
displays of rotary aircraft from the Navy and San Diego County Sheriffs and CalFire. The Navy provided the event with an H-60 from the HSC-23 "WILDCARDS" and the county provided two of its helicopters. A Bell MD-530 commonly known as ASTREA was in attendance along with a bell 205 from San Diego Sheriff/CalFire office that is used in firefighting operations. There was food drinks and fun had by all.
