The C-division firefighters at Lakeside's Riverview fire station (fs1) were treated this morning to a "Heroes Breakfast" at Lakeside Farms Elementary School. This annual event is hosted to honor those people that the students regard as "heroes." In addition to the firefighters, several active duty and veteran personnel from the military also attended. The heroes were thanked for their service as the students passed through the auditorium to view walls decorated to celebrate the heroes and the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Thanks again to the PTA, staff, and students of Lakeside Farms.
Attending the event were: Captain Wes Barnes, Engineer/paramedic Ian Lowe, Firefighter Nate Fox, Firefighter/paramedic Steve Russo, and Firefighter/paramedic Danny Leetch.
